Most renowned winemakers in Rioja: Álvaro Palacios (who inaugurated the series) Juan Carlos López de Lacalle, Agustín Santolaya and many others have come through GRAN VÍA Hotel in Logroño to present their wines. A remarkable fact was that Vega Sicilia winery presented for the first time to the general public an open tasting of their wines Macán from Rioja. Recently, some small producers have been joining to the series of tastings in such a way that, actually, these wine authors are showing what is going on lately in what Alberto Gil (journalist of Diario de La Rioja and Director of Club de Catas) name as “The Land of a Thousand Wines”.
